How Refund Guard Works For You

Refund Guard is a two-part script – the first part, the Server Script, is installed on one of your hosting accounts and acts as a centralized server. The entire configuration and installation takes 3 minutes!

The second part is the Client Script (in this case Client refers to your domains), which you adapt and install to your specific needs on your Order, Subscription or other Forms where you want to prevent certain folks from signing up or buying something.

For example, take an Order page going to PayPal – you place a small form on this page for the visitor to enter their PayPal email address. The form points to the Client Script, which in turn checks the Email Address and IP Address against your blacklist on the Server. If you’ve blacklisted them, the Client Script will redirect them to a “Get Lost” type of page (you create this page so it can be anything you want).

Don’t feel like messing around up front? That’s not a problem – the Client Script can be easily integrated with any Payment Processor that supports an IPN or other Passback type of system. Again, using PayPal as an example, the Client Script checks your blacklist before processing the IPN. If they’re blacklisted, you send them to a “Get Lost” page rather than your download page.

Sure, you’ve got to refund them but at least...THEY DIDN'T WALK AWAY WITH YOUR PRODUCT!

Refund Guard System Requirements

Refund Guard is a server-side script developed in PHP 4.4 and MySQL 2.23 - you will require Zend Optimizer 2.6 or higher on your server (your host will provide this at no charge, if they have not already).
